David Young is a partner in Goodwin Procter’s IP Litigation Group and a member of its Patent Litigation and Privacy & Data Security Practices. He primarily focuses on intellectual property counseling, litigation and appellate practice, and privacy counseling.

Mr. Young represents businesses and individuals in connection with complex patent litigation matters before federal trial and appellate courts, and the International Trade Commission, in cases involving a wide array of technologies; copyright, trademark, and trade dress counseling, prosecution and litigation; disputes pertaining to false advertising, unfair competition, trade secrets, antitrust and intellectual property licensing; and music licensing, right of publicity, advertising and claim substantiation and copyright licensing issues.

Mr. Young is an outdoor enthusiast, who closely monitors legal developments affecting the outdoor equipment, footwear and apparel industries, and represents Goodwin with the Outdoor Industry Association.
