David Morris Caplan

David Caplan is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation and Privacy & Data Security Groups.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Caplan managed a company that trained artists in the entertainment industry who worked on video games, animated feature films and special effects for live-action films. His work involved cutting-edge 3D sculpting and animation software, cloud-based content delivery networks and web development applications. Mr. Caplan’s practice concentrates on intellectual property litigation before the federal district courts. He also provides the Privacy & Data Security Team with support in the areas of strategic litigation avoidance counseling, online and mobile marketing, the Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA), and the collection of data through digital advertising promotions, contests and sweepstakes.

He received his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law.
