David is experienced in the procurement and protection of intellectual property assets across various industries, including medical device, telecommunications, semiconductor, and consumer electronics. He is a registered patent attorney that advises clients on intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on patent law, including both domestic and foreign patent application preparation and prosecution; patent portfolio development and management; and patent infringement, patent validity, freedom to operate, and due diligence investigations. He also counsels on intellectual property issues related to corporate competitive analyses and corporate technology rights management.

David has practiced intellectual property law in both corporate and law firm settings. Prior to joining Loza & Loza, he was patent counsel at several boutique and general law firms in Los Angeles, and was in-house patent counsel for a Fortune 500 medical device company. Before entering the legal profession, David was an engineer at an aerospace company in Los Angeles.
