Dawn Russell is a registered U.S. patent attorney representing domestic and international clients, focusing on pharmaceuticals, chemicals, medical devices, biotechnology, and bioinformatics. She prepares and prosecutes patent applications; provides opinions and counseling regarding patentability, infringement, and freedom-to-operate; drafts and reviews licenses and joint venture agreements; conducts due diligence; and advises regarding transactions involving intellectual property assets. Ms. Russell also counsels clients regarding patent litigation concerns.

Ms. Russell’s extensive opinion counseling experience includes designing comprehensive search strategies to assess freedom-to-operate and validity of patents directed to pharmaceutical compositions, chemical compounds, and medical devices, with an emphasis on opinions to support Paragraph IV Certifications under the Hatch-Waxman Act.
