Dinesh Badkar’s practice includes all aspects of general business litigation, with a focus on real estate. Mr. Badkar has worked on countless real estate litigation matters, including troubled real estate purchase and sale deals, partnership disputes involving real estate, eminent domain actions, including large inverse condemnation matters, quiet title actions, numerous landlord/tenant disputes, disputes between neighbors and homeowners associations involving title and access rights, numerous large environmental contamination matters and numerous actions brought on behalf of bank clients in which we have sought to judicially and nonjudicially foreclose on real property securing defaulted loans, as well as successfully pursuing writs of attachment against borrowers that have defaulted on unsecured loans, levying on various properties and subsequently selling real property through sheriff’s sales. During the last downturn in the real estate market, Mr. Badkar’s work focused on handling the myriad issues arising out of failed and/or abandoned developments funded by clients’ construction loans, including defending mechanic’s lien and stop notice claims, as well as maximizing the value of the developments serving as collateral on the loans.
