Don Stephenson concentrates on federal and state tax controversy and litigation matters primarily involving large case corporate taxpayers. He represents taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service at its Examination and Appeals Divisions and its National Office; before the Department of the Treasury and before the United States Tax Court, District Courts and Courts of Appeal. Mr. Stephenson has successfully resolved tax controversies in all forums, including obtaining revenue rulings and successfully lobbying to amend the Internal Revenue Code.

Mr. Stephenson’s controversy and litigation experience extends to all areas of federal income taxation, with emphasis in corporate and partnership tax, transfer pricing, international tax and tax accounting methods. He also represents taxpayers in state and local tax controversies and litigation.

Mr. Stephenson also maintains an active federal tax planning practice with an emphasis in Subchapters C and K of the Internal Revenue Code and tax accounting method.

Mr. Stephenson is a certified public accountant.
