Douglas C. Boggs

Doug Boggs is a partner in the Corporate and Finance practice and is resident in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. His practice focuses on international project finance, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, securities and venture capital.

He advises corporations and private equity and venture capital funds on divestitures, financings, securities matters and acquisitions, including equity and debt financings, public securities offerings, mergers, stock and asset transfers, corporate reorganizations, restructurings and joint ventures.

Mr. Boggs frequently assists clients in structuring creative arrangements to acquire, develop, protect and distribute entities, assets, technologies, and products both domestically and internationally. He has extensive experience with deal structurings, negotiations, equity financings, debt financings, equity compensation matters, intellectual property licensing, complex corporate partnering transactions, corporate governance and SEC disclosures.

Mr. Boggs has represented investors, operators and government entities in transactions in energy, commodities, transportation, mining, oil and gas, power generation and transmission facilities, and water and waste facilities.

He has been named a “Young Gun” by Washingtonian Magazine, listing him within the top 40 lawyers under 40 in Washington, D.C. In August 2013, he was named a “D.C. Deal Maker of the Year” by The National Law Journal.
