Duke McCall’s practice focuses on environmental law and complex litigation. He represents clients in contribution actions, enforcement proceedings, citizen suits, toxic tort litigation, and regulatory matters, including such actions brought under CERCLA (Superfund), the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, RCRA, and analogous state laws. Duke also counsels clients on the disclosure of environmental liabilities in securities filings and under federal and state voluntary disclosure programs. In addition, Duke assists clients with the development of environmental compliance programs, in the conduct of internal investigations relating to environmental matters, in pursuing insurance coverage for environmental liabilities, and advises clients on the requirements of numerous environmental programs established under federal and state environmental laws and regulations, international environmental treaties, and foreign environmental laws and regulations.

Duke is a frequent speaker on environmental law matters, is the author of the Clean Water Act chapter of the Environmental Law Handbook published by Government Institutes, and serves on the Editorial Board of the Environmental Liability, Enforcement & Penalties Reporter.

Prior to joining the firm, Duke clerked for the Hon. William W. Wilkins of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the Hon. William B. Traxler, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.
