Ed Whitson is Counsel in the Creditors Rights & Bankruptcy practice group. Ed focuses on complex litigation matters in both district and bankruptcy courts, representing banks, insurance companies, private equity groups, receivers and financial institutions, involving asset recovery, asset sales and fraudulent transfer litigation.

Ed has also handles sophisticated collection/garnishment and judgment recovery litigation. He is highly experienced in the areas of creditor rights, landlord tenant, commercial lending, and real estate lending and development. He has previously counseled clients in the negotiation of contracts and the preparation of legal opinions in connection with federal New Market Tax Credit transactions and Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act financings.

Ed has represented a variety of clients, including large hospitals, physician groups and other health care providers in mergers, acquisitions and affiliation transactions.
