With nearly 20 years of experience, Ed Christian advises a variety of entities, including investment funds, portfolio companies, lenders and borrowers, business development companies (BDCs), airlines, and lessors and lessees on complex debt and equity transactions in the alternative finance, leveraged finance, aviation, transportation, energy and capital equipment sectors.

Ed assists clients with domestic and cross-border financial and restructuring activities involving securities offerings, multicurrency and syndicated transactions, and corporate insolvencies. He also works with boards of directors and senior management teams to advise on all aspects of their businesses, including investments, compliance, operations and reporting requirements related to financings, corporate reorganizations, and mergers and acquisitions.

Ed’s in-depth knowledge of these topics—particularly alternative lending and investing—makes him a sought-after speaker at nationwide and international industry conferences. His extensive experience also allows him to effectively advise clients on compliance with regulatory mandates, including the Bank Holding Company Act, the Dodd-Frank Act and the Investment Advisers Act.

Before attending law school, Ed was a lieutenant and naval aviator in the United States Navy. Ed is admitted to the State Bar of California, The District of Columbia Bar and The New York State Bar Association. His work is supervised by State Bar of Georgia members.
