Ellen focuses her practice on family law, and is known for combining zealous client representation with sensitivity and appreciation of the long-range needs of families in transition.

She has appeared in state and federal courts and has also served as a mediator and arbitrator. She has experience dealing with substantial marital estates, professional degrees and practices, complex custody issues and all aspects of divorce.

Ellen’s background includes work as a commercial litigator, representing clients in a wide variety of business disputes.

She is a frequent lecturer and panelist at continuing legal education presentations sponsored by the Utah State Bar and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers on topics ranging from mediation and arbitration, litigating alimony issues in divorce cases, and business valuation in divorce, to conducting discovery in divorce cases, ethical issues in family law practice, and prenuptial agreements.
