Eric is a California Real Estate and Business Trial Lawyer and Arbitrator. He is the Founding Partner of Berg Law Group. Prior to founding the firm, Eric served as the Chair of the Litigation Department of Santa Barbara-based Hatch and Parent and as a Litigation Shareholder with Hatch and Parent’s successor, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck.
Eric has over 25 years of experience focusing on the litigation of real estate and business cases. Representing clients in state and federal courts throughout California, he has achieved successful trial and arbitration results across all major industries, with particular emphasis on real estate, professional services, and technology.
Eric's real estate experience includes lead trial and arbitration counsel for owners, developers, and design and engineering professionals. He has represented construction professionals in seven and eight-figure disputes, and has tried construction and design cases to verdict. He represents California property owners in high profile and complex coastal access disputes, and has a long history of successfully representing property owners in complex land use, contract, and disclosure actions in the role of lead trial counsel.
