Eric J. Wu’s practice is primarily focused on providing advice and counsel on all aspects of employment law. Mr. Wu provides effective strategies to employers, helping them navigate California’s complex employment laws and avoid unnecessary litigation. He delivers practical solutions to workplace problems, including recruitment and hiring, negotiating employment and severance agreements, personnel policies, employee compensation, discipline, and separation of employment.
Mr. Wu has experience drafting and revising company handbooks, policies, and procedures to ensure that employers remain compliant with California law. He has extensive experience representing clients in a wide range of employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and class action matters. Mr. Wu also advises and helps employers conduct workplace investigations.
As a former co-founder and president of a small business, Mr. Wu possesses a unique insight into the needs and concerns of entrepreneurs and business owners. In addition to his employment law experience, Mr. Wu has experience with corporate transactional matters, including business formation, operation, corporate governance, business transactions, and drafting contracts and agreements. He has also successfully represented businesses in commercial litigation and creditor’s rights disputes.
Mr. Wu received his Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame, and obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University. He is admitted to practice in all California courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Central and Eastern Districts of California. Mr. Wu has volunteered as a pro bono attorney with The Alliance for Children’s Rights and successfully obtained funding for low-income foster care children.
