Eric is the chair of the firm’s media and entertainment practice group. With more than two decades of corporate and commercial experience, Eric focuses his practice on U.S. and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings and reorganizations, and complex financial agreements. He represents acquirers, targets and investors in multibillion-dollar and middle market transactions in the media, communications, technology and financial services sectors.

In the past three years, he has guided clients through the acquisition and disposition of television production and new media companies, alternative viewing platforms, technology companies, and complicated licensing and distribution arrangements including multiplatform arrangements. He has led numerous acquisitions of companies involved in the production and distribution of popular television programs, including Leftfield Pictures.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Eric served in various leadership positions at Am Law 100 firms, including managing partner of a New York office, vice-chair of a corporate department and global chair of a communications, media and technology practice.
