Evan Bienstock, a partner in Lowenstein Sandler’s Tech Group, counsels emerging growth, early stage, and start-up companies from the seed of an idea to its execution, and each step along the way. His roots are firmly planted in the start-up community; he lives in Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood – home to many NYC-based tech start-ups – and works with an array of companies in the tech sector. Evan has handled and negotiated hundreds of venture capital and private equity financings for those providing and those seeking capital. In addition, he is well versed in mergers and acquisitions, and counsels clients through complex exit transactions. Prior to joining Lowenstein’s Tech Group, Evan was a partner at Mintz Levin, having worked in that firm’s Boston and the New York offices during his ten years there.

His legal practice is driven by the innovative spirit of the entrepreneurs with whom he works. In addition to counseling clients on formation and daily operations, Evan serves as a mentor to the start-up community, often writing and speaking on legal and business issues at events like Cleantech Open Northeast, Columbia Tech Ventures, General Assembly, and 30 Weeks, a Google-sponsored incubator.

When he is not traveling alongside clients on their exciting start-up journeys, Evan enjoys sailing and skiing.
