Evan T. Mayor is an associate in O’Melveny’s Century City office and a member of the Business Trial and Litigation and Entertainment and Media Litigation Practices. He focuses primarily on entertainment and media litigation.

Most recently, Evan was part of a team that successfully defended a concert promotion company against a multi-billion dollar wrongful death lawsuit brought by pop superstar Michael Jackson’s mother and children. Evan was heavily involved in developing the winning strategy during the five-month jury trial, one of the most high profile entertainment trials in recent memory. Evan also managed several junior attorneys, helped draft key dispositive motions, and was involved in several witness examinations during the trial.

In addition to his trial experience, Evan has extensive discovery, motion practice, and appellate drafting experience. He has managed large document review and privilege review projects, drafted several summary judgment motions and appellate briefs, and argued dispositive motions in court, among other experience.

Evan has also served as a litigation consultant on various entertainment transactional matters.
