Zeke Johnson counsels alternative investment management clients on fund organization and operation, regulatory and compliance matters, and product offerings. He has experience in legal matters related to structuring and managing hedge funds, funds of hedge funds, commodity pools and futures funds, private equity funds, hybrid committed capital funds, managed accounts, platforms and other investment structures. Zeke advises U.S. and non-U.S. investment managers on the Investment Advisers Act, the Commodity Exchange Act, Regulation D and Dodd-Frank related compliance issues.

Before joining FaegreBD, Zeke was chief legal officer at a large alternative asset manager, where he oversaw legal matters related to more than $7 billion in assets and managed an international team of attorneys. He is a former partner at an AmLaw 100 firm in Chicago, where he also served as the U.K. liaison for that firm's U.S. investment funds practice.
