Fradyn Suarez

Fradyn Suárez's practice focuses on cross-border finance and investments. She regularly advises commercial and development banks and other lenders and borrowers with cross-border financing transactions involving Latin America and the Caribbean and other emerging markets, including project finance transactions, acquisition financings, syndicated lending transactions, debt restructurings, and bond offerings. Fradyn also advises private equity funds and other investor clients with the structuring and documentation of joint ventures and equity and debt investments in the same markets.

Throughout her career, Fradyn has represented a diverse client base, including a significant number of international financial and corporate groups, in connection with a broad array of business and regulatory matters, most involving cross-border complexities. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2014, she represented, among many others, a U.S. lender in connection with a $64 million acquisition financing involving a hotel property in Mexico; a U.S. lender in the $40 million financing of a Chilean mining company; the concessionaire and operator of 13 airports in Mexico in connection with the restructuring of a 2 billion peso bond facility; and a multinational corporation in its proposed bid for the construction of a toll road project in Panama.

Fradyn is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association, Hispanic National Bar Association, and Women's Fund of Miami-Dade County; director and co-founder of the UC-CANF, Inc.; and director of the Cuban American National Foundation. She has spoken on financing in Latin America numerous times at conferences. Fradyn has been recognized by the Chambers Global, Latin America, and USA directories for her extensive Latin American finance experience.
