Frederick Tanne is a counsel in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Frederick has concentrated his practice on structuring and negotiating complex business transactions for private equity clients, including domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations, going private transactions, spinoffs, formation of private equity funds, venture and growth capital investments, debt and equity financings, and restructurings and workouts, handling transactions which range in size from several million dollars to over $1 billion. He regularly represents portfolio companies of private equity clients with respect to all their corporate needs including acquisitions and financings. He also represents public company clients in connection with their merger and acquisition activities.
Frederick has been a partner of the firm since 1991 and is a founder of the New York office.
He has been selected by his peers to be included in The Best Lawyers in America as one of the premier practitioners in the Leveraged Buyouts and Private Equity Law practice area. He was also endorsed by the ninth edition (2012) of PLC Which Lawyer?
