Gil joined the firm’s San Diego office in November 2007 and is a member in the Subrogation & Recovery Department. He has extensive experience representing clients as a commercial litigator including general civil litigation with an emphasis on labor and employment matters, contractual disputes, personal injury, product liability and professional malpractice. Gil also represents national insurance carriers in recovery of large casualty losses.

Gil represented a national insurance client as counsel in connection with the San Diego Hilton Hotel explosion that occurred in 2008. The matter involved over $15 million in property damages to the hotel and was resolved favorably for the client. He has also successfully litigated product liability and construction defect cases involving large condominium complexes in both California and Nevada.

Gil is a member of the San Diego Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association and La Raza Lawyers of San Diego. He is fluent in Spanish. He has authored several articles for the firm in connection with wildfires and automobile product recalls.

Gil earned a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of California at Los Angeles. He earned his law degree from California Western School of Law, where he was a Dean's Scholar. While attending law school, Gil served as a mediator in the Small Claims Division of the San Diego Superior Court and taught alternative dispute resolution skills to children detained in juvenile hall.
