Grant E. Nichols focuses his practice on environmental law, with an emphasis on managing environmental liabilities associated with larger real estate and corporate transactions. His clients include real estate developers, environmental consultants, private equity investors, and manufacturing companies. Grant also has significant experience guiding clients through non-environmental risk management issues, including in the healthcare, construction, and product liability areas. As part of his transactional practice, he regularly drafts and negotiates stock and asset purchase agreements, environmental indemnity agreements and risk transfer agreements, and has over a decade of experience analyzing risk management programs of companies and negotiating insurance coverage to mitigate risks associated with their purchase or sale.

Prior to joining the firm, Grant worked for a commercial property/casualty insurance company where he was responsible for underwriting, business development, and legal matters. He previously worked in the insurance practice group of a national law firm, where he focused on environmental liability transfers and insurance-related litigation.
