Gregory T. Wasylak

Gregory Wasylak is a member of the firm's Litigation Division. Mr. Wasylak is a results-oriented trial attorney and litigator with experience representing a wide array of clients in both the federal and state courts. Mr. Wasylak’s practice focuses on products liability matters, complex contract disputes and business-tort matters, and insurance-related issues. He has successfully represented clients in both jury and bench trials in Maryland and the District of Columbia and assisted in numerous capacities in connection with the successful defense of multi-state, mass tort litigation throughout the United States.

Mr. Wasylak has worked for and represented businesses of all sizes, as well as individuals, in commercial litigation matters. This includes numerous product manufacturers in products liability cases, including those concerning motor vehicles and boats, pharmaceutical and medical devices, heating/HVAC systems, surface preparation equipment and other heavy machinery, and various consumer products. Mr. Wasylak has assisted clients at all stages of litigation, including serving as lead or co-counsel at trial, drafting and arguing dispositive motions in both state and federal courts, preparing and coordinating on discovery matters in mass tort litigation across the country, and serving as local counsel to advise out-of-state clients with litigation in Maryland. In recognition for his tireless work on behalf of his clients, Mr. Wasylak was selected by the American Society of Legal Advocates as a Top 40 Litigation Lawyer Under 40 in the State of Maryland for 2014.

No matter the type or nature of the litigation, Mr. Wasylak prides himself on providing strong client advocacy and bringing an effective litigation management and focused problem solving approach to the case. Those traits, along with Mr. Wasylak's continuing desire and dedication to the study and practice of law, helps in effectively serving the needs of Venable's clients and makes him a valuable member of the firm's Litigation Division.
