Heather's practice involves counseling clients in environmental permitting, environmental regulatory compliance, environmental issues in business transactions, and environmental litigation.

Heather has substantial experience reviewing environmental site assessments and advising clients on issues raised through such assessments, whether in the context of acquisition transactions or regulatory compliance. She also has experience dealing with above ground and underground storage tank remediation projects.
In addition to her environmental work, Heather has substantial experience advising clients about and preparing covenants and restrictions for large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, and condominium projects.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Heather was an environmental analyst and environmental planner with the Virginia Department of Transportation. She also was an environmental specialist for the St. Johns River Water Management District and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for more than 10 years.
