Hsiang Chun Wang

Stacey H. Wang is a partner in Holland & Knight's Los Angeles office and a member of the West Coast Litigation Group, Compliance Services Team, and White Collar Defense and Investigations Team. Ms. Wang has successfully represented domestic and foreign businesses involved in multimillion dollar disputes, including complex commercial and intellectual property matters, business fraud and antitrust/unfair competition actions (including defending against class actions), and in civil False Claims Act cases. She also represents companies and executives involved in criminal and regulatory investigations and has handled complex internal corporate investigations involving witnesses and evidence located abroad. Her criminal practice experience includes service as a pro bono publico deputy district attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, where she tried jury cases to verdict. The commonality in her wide-ranging practice is her practical, business-oriented approach to resolving complex legal issues – an approach she also uses in developing compliance plans and implementing litigation prevention strategies.

In the legal community, Ms. Wang has been recognized as a Rising Star in Business Litigation by the Southern California Super Lawyers magazine, a designation given to no more than 2.5 percent of the attorneys in the state. Ms. Wang currently serves as the president of the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association (SCCLA), one of the oldest and largest Asian-American bar associations in the country. She was also appointed to the American Bar Association Litigation Section's Federal Practice Task Force, which works with the Federal Judicial Conference’s Advisory Committee on Civil Rules to consider revisions to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.

Within the firm, Ms. Wang was selected in 2014 as one of five women attorneys in the firm to participate in its award-winning "Rising Star" women's initiative professional development training program. She was previously selected as a litigation Chesterfield Smith Fellow in 2011 and spent one year litigating high-profile pro bono matters across the country. She currently serves as the firmwide pro bono coordinator for cases referred by Kids in Need of Defense (www.supportkind.org), a pro bono initiative which aims to provide legal representation to unaccompanied children in removal proceedings, and through which she has gained significant experience in representing children trafficked from China. She also chairs the firm's Asian/Pacific Islander Affinity Group and sits on the Diversity Council.

Ms. Wang previously served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Margaret M. Morrow of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. She also served as a state bar-certified extern for the Civil Licensing Section of the California Attorney General's Office, where she prosecuted licensing cases. Other law school activities include being selected to compete in Vienna, Austria, in the Willem C. Vis International Moot Arbitration competition and serving as the chief copy (articles) editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles International & Comparative Law Review.
