Igor Ozeruga is an associate in Benesch's Intellectual Property/3iP Practice Group. He specializes in intellectual property issues in diverse fields relating to electronic, software, computer, communication, imaging, and biomedical technologies.

Specifically, he has experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications related to medical sensors and devices, software, algorithms, hardware-software integration, embedded systems, encryption algorithms, GPS systems, optical communications, wireless communications, network topology, database management systems, microprocessor architecture, digital and analog circuits, medical and non-medical imaging, image processing (e.g., RADAR/LADAR), medical equipment, semiconductor fabrication, semiconductor devices, cellular technologies, location based technologies, industrial automation systems, accelerometers, calibration systems, gyroscopes, quantum computing, batteries and unmanned vehicle systems.

Igor leverages his background in electrical engineering and understanding of client technology to provide clients with strategic advice to assist in making critical business decisions. His patent prosecution experience extends to all phases of the U.S. and PCT process. Furthermore, Igor leverages his knowledge of foreign patent law practices to assist clients in making important business decisions abroad.

Prior to practicing intellectual property law, Igor was an electrical engineer at a leading industrial dryer and oven manufacturing company. As an engineer, he worked primarily designing complex control systems that regulated dryers and ovens as material was being treated. Furthermore, Igor was involved in designing and developing medical devices, namely, biophysiological devices. Specifically, he was in charge of developing hardware and software that would capture biological signals from a patient, analyze the captured signals and generate real-world information that could be used to control a therapy applied to the patient.
