Ivan J. Presant has extensive experience advising domestic and multinational companies as purchasers, sellers and investors in a wide range of business combination transactions and contests for corporate control involving both public and private companies. He regularly represents clients in connection with mergers, tender offers (negotiated and unsolicited), proxy contests, auctions, stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, and joint ventures.

Mr. Presant lectures frequently on topics relating to his professional interests, including as a panelist on "Director Fiduciary Duties in M&A Transactions" and "Current Strategies in M&A Transactions and Proxy Contests" at the PLI seminar on "Contests for Corporate Control: Current Offensive & Defensive Strategies in M&A Transactions."

Mr. Presant received his B.A. from Stanford University in 1991 and J.D. from Northwestern University in 1994.
