Ivan Wood is senior counsel in the Firm's Houston office and is a member of the Health Law Group. He represents clients in the health care industry, including hospitals, ambulatory care facilities, home care providers and physicians. Mr. Wood counsels clients in a broad spectrum of transactions including medical staff matters, Medicare fraud and abuse, maintenance of tax-exempt status, risk management, regulatory matters and the development and implementation of joint ventures, partnerships, private offerings and corporate reorganizations. He has served as lead counsel in high profile acquisitions across the country involving hospitals, nursing homes and HMOs as well as businesses outside the health care sector. He is experienced in handling all aspects of corporate transactions, including real estate and mortgage issues, securities, general financing issues, bond financing, regulatory, antitrust and corporate documentation.

A fellow of the American Health Lawyers Association, Mr. Wood is Board Certified in Health Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has been named a leading health care attorney by Chambers USA and has also been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® and Texas Super Lawyers.
