J. Rick Taché is Managing Shareholder of the firm’s Orange County office and Co-Chair of the Global Patent Litigation Group. Rick is a registered patent attorney focusing his practice on intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation. His patent and trademark prosecution practice spans a variety of industries, including medical devices, aerospace, mechanical, software, hardware, Internet, business methods, and various other technologies. He is experienced handling a broad range of complex transactions covering all aspects of business, including mergers and acquisitions, licensing, vendor agreements, development agreements, joint ventures, and outsourcing agreements.

Prior to joining the firm, Rick co-chaired the intellectual property group of a multi-practice, national law firm.
