James A. Glenn

James A. Glenn is a Partner in the firm’s Houston office who focuses his practice on both the transactional and litigation aspects of intellectual property. As an experienced litigator, he has multiple complex commercial litigation matters to his credit and represents U.S., Asian, and European clients primarily in technology-based litigation, including patent, trade secret, trademark and copyright matters in jurisdictions throughout the United States. He has represented some of the world’s top electronic and computer manufacturers, and internet retailers in matters involving theft of trade secrets and patent infringement.

James has more than 10 years of experience in matters involving a variety of technologies, such as electronic device manufacturing, operating systems, computer hardware and networking, Wi-Fi hardware and software protocols, Internet protocols, 2D-3D image conversion, computerized financial transactions, and medical devices. His transactional intellectual property practice covers a broad range of technological fields and includes all aspects of a client’s intellectual property needs. He earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2001. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Glenn worked as a researcher in the University of South Carolina’s Silicon Carbide Laboratory, where he helped develop methodologies for the manufacturing of microelectronic devices using novel semiconductor materials.
