Jim has over thirty years of experience as a banking lawyer and has been involved in many of the most iconic and complex syndicated financings during that period. He has represented numerous financial institutions and sponsors, investors and corporate clients in all areas of private financings with a particular focus in the areas of acquisition and leveraged financings, bridge financings and restructurings. He has been listed in Euromoney’s Guide to the World’s Leading Banking Lawyers, Marquis’ Who’s Who in American Law, Chambers USA and Chambers Global as one of “the world’s leading lawyers” in banking and finance. He has been particularly recognized for his work on the borrower/issuer side and was the first to achieve Band 1 status in Chambers for that work. He also has repeatedly been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America. His corporate clients have included Alcoa, Cendant, Colgate-Palmolive, Avis, Express Scripts, First Data and Norfolk Southern. Sponsor clients have included Kelso, MacAndrews & Forbes, TH Lee, Vestar, Wellspring and Windward.
