James Maloney practices in the Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights, Commercial Litigation, and Real Estate Client Service Groups, and the firm’s Construction Practice Team. He has litigated extensively through jury trials, bench and agency trials, mediations, arbitrations and appeals. He has litigated in the areas of creditors' rights and loan enforcements in environments of direct, participating and securitized loan portfolios; claims under commercial leases, energy and utility contracts; auto, premises and product liability; personal injury and property damage, wrongful death; insurance coverage disputes; business and fiduciary torts and RICO actions; intentional torts; employment claims; civil rights litigation; professional malpractice; commercial lease and finance disputes; construction defects and contract disputes. He represents purchasers of design and construction services in negotiating and drafting all types of agreements concerning construction-related services, and in the concerns of contract administration and disputes regarding project delays, defects and warranty matters.
