Jamie Martin is the Co-Chair of Williams Mullen’s Health Care Section. Her practice focuses on representing health care providers in regulatory, transactional, corporate governance and antitrust matters. She has extensive experience advising clients in Certificate of Public Need (COPN) matters.

Jamie represents hospitals, physician groups and other health care entities in mergers, joint ventures and other relationships. She helps clients navigate the numerous state and federal laws that govern transactions between health care providers.

Martindale-Hubbell has rated Jamie an AV preeminent attorney, its highest rating available. She has been named among Virginia’s “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business magazine (2003-2015) and included in The Best Lawyers in America© (2005-present). She was named the Best Lawyers® Health Care Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Richmond in 2014 and 2016, and she has also been named a “Super Lawyer” by Virginia Super Lawyers magazine (2006-2016).

Jamie serves on the Board of Governors for the Virginia Bar Association (VBA) and as chair of the VBA’s Health Law Section Council. She was the advisor to the Virginia Secretary of Health and Human Resources’ Certificate of Public Need Work Group.

Jamie is a board member and executive committee member for the Goochland Free Clinic and Family Services. She is also the pro bono counsel for the World Pediatric Project, Hope for Humanity and Grace Episcopal Church in Goochland.

Jamie received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. She received a Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from James Madison University.
