Mr. Palmer is an associate in the Litigation Department in the San Francisco office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Mr. Palmer's practice focuses on counseling and defending public and private companies in general and complex commercial disputes in both state and federal courts. His practice spans a wide range of substantive legal areas, including contract disputes, torts, products liability, false advertising, civil fraud, and unfair competition and deceptive business practices. Mr. Palmer regularly counsels clients in the food, beverage, and nutrition industries.

Mr. Palmer has in-depth knowledge of California consumer protection statutes, including California’s Unfair Competition Law, Consumers Legal Remedies Act, and False Advertising Law. As part of his practice, Mr. Palmer monitors court decisions affecting the consumer products industry, and in particular, the current wave of class action lawsuits targeting food and dietary supplement labels and advertising. He also has extensive experience defending and advising clients on California's Proposition 65.

Mr. Palmer also regularly represents clients on a pro bono basis. He previously provided pro bono representation all the way to the California Supreme Court in an effort to ensure state agencies comply with their statutory obligations. Mr. Palmer is currently representing a prisoner in federal court for constitutional violations. Mr. Palmer also volunteers with the Bar Association of San Francisco to assist renters facing eviction.
