Jason L. Beckerman is the administrative managing partner of the New York General Litigation Group.

Jason is an established trial attorney who regularly counsels clients in the construction industry regarding construction contracts, crisis management and risk management. His practice focuses on disputes arising out of construction contracts, construction fees, construction and design defects, mechanics liens, Miller Act claims, labor law, structural failure, construction accidents, premises and security, toxic exposure and other mass tort. He has been successful in defending cases at every level of the New York courts as well as the federal courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. His experience includes litigation, trials, alternative dispute resolution and appellate work.

Jason’s client base comprises some of the largest general contractors, construction managers and developers both regionally, nationally and internationally. His clients call on him to handle their largest exposure and most complex cases. He has become a leading voice and advocate for reform of the New York State Labor Law publishing articles in support of the reform and meeting with legislators to advocate for same.

Jason is a former chair of the Insurance Committee for the New York County Lawyers Association, and is a member of the Brooklyn Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer on issues surrounding the Labor Law as well as work site accident investigations.

Jason earned his Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College, and he has since been invited back to deliver a keynote speech regarding leadership. He received his law degree from Hofstra University School of Law, where he was a perennial member of the Hofstra Trial Team.
