Jeff Legault is a partner in Mayer Brown's New York office and a member of the Corporate & Securities practice. He concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, both public and private, with an emphasis on private equity transactions in a variety of industries, ranging from industrial/manufacturing to financial services.

Jeff represents public and private companies, private equity firms (both sponsors and family offices) and investment banks. Jeff has extensive experience in public and private mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions (both domestic and cross-border), joint ventures and strategic alliances, proxy fights and other matters of corporate governance and control, asset securitizations and general corporate legal matters, including representation of clients before the SEC.
