Jeffrey L. Nash

Jeff has been with Cozen O’Connor since 1986 and is a shareholder based in the firm's Cherry Hill, NJ office. He is a partner in the Chairman’s Group and is a trial attorney, specializing in government relations and civil litigation.

Additionally, through his work with Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies, Jeff has assisted numerous clients with matters involving New Jersey government agencies and departments, advocating for those he represents with decision-makers at various levels of government. The Public Strategies team includes former elected and appointed public officials at all levels, and professionals who have the knowledge and experience to create winning strategies for protecting clients’ interests, presenting their positions, and ensuring that their voices are heard.

Jeff is also a longtime public official. In 1989 he was first elected as a member of the Cherry Hill Township Council. In 1991 he was elected to his first term as a Camden County Freeholder, a position he has held for eight elected terms. In 2002, he was nominated and confirmed to serve as the Vice Chairman of the Delaware River Port Authority and has since served four New Jersey Governors in that role. Jeff is currently leading the effort to build a new rail system from Camden to Gloucester County.

Jeff is very involved as a community volunteer and activist. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey and is the Co-Chair of the Cherry Hill Democratic Party. Jeff started college at Brockport State University in New York, where he earned the honor of being the only sophomore accepted into the prestigious political studies semester program in Washington, D.C. He transferred to George Washington University, where he completed his degree in political science. Choosing to pursue a career in law, Jeff graduated from Hofstra University School of Law. While in law school, he served as the managing editor of the Labor Law Journal and was chosen to represent the school as part of its traveling trial team.
