Jeffrey Ayres concentrates his practice in the area of complex civil litigation, focusing upon labor and employment law, civil rights cases, and ERISA, as well as state tort and contract matters, and discrimination issues. Industries in which he has represented clients include high technology/science, education, banking and finance, and health care. He is Co-Chair of Venable's Ethics Committee.

Mr. Ayres actively participates in many civic, charitable, educational, and church-related functions. He regularly holds high level positions of authority on boards and committees and is committed to high ethical and performance standards in all his undertakings. Currently, he is Chancellor of the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland, as well as a Trustee of the Handel Choir of Baltimore. He also is on the Maryland Attorney Grievance Commission.
