Jen Lavie focuses her practice on advertising, marketing, promotion and Internet law. She counsels clients on compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements, especially those in connection with telemarketing, e-mail, social media, mobile, sweepstakes, contests and other marketing activities. She drafts and negotiates a wide variety of agreements, such as talent and sponsorship agreements, web site terms and conditions and privacy policies. In addition, she assists in initiating and defending challenges to advertising claims before the National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus. She also helps defend clients in investigations pursued by the Federal Trade Commission. Before joining Manatt, Ms. Lavie was an associate at the New York law firm Hall Dickler Kent Goldstein & Wood, LLP.
