Jennifer Luz, a counsel in the firm's Litigation Department, focuses her practice on securities litigation, SEC enforcement, government investigations, internal corporate investigations and complex litigation. Ms. Luz joined Goodwin Procter in 2005.
Ms. Luz has represented corporations, mutual funds, investment advisors, officers and directors in a wide range of litigation matters, including class action lawsuits alleging violations of federal and state securities laws. She has also represented corporate clients in connection with internal corporate investigations and investigations by various regulatory and governmental entities, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Department of Labor, concerning alleged securities violations and other matters. Ms. Luz also has extensive experience in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract and fraud.
Ms. Luz’s clients and cases have involved a diverse mix of industries and all phases of litigation and arbitration. She also has advised clients on risk assessment, developed strategies for achieving business goals without litigation and participated in the negotiation of favorable settlements.
