Jennifer Klem is a Director in the Healthcare and Life Sciences Disputes, Compliance and Investigations practice. She provides support in government investigations and litigation, as well as expertise in privacy and compliance matters involving healthcare and life sciences companies.

Prior to joining Navigant, Jennifer served as a Partner at an international law firm, where she focused on white collar criminal defense and healthcare fraud litigation. Jennifer later specialized in the implementation and development of the privacy program within the compliance department of a leading academic medical center. Her experience within a health system provided her with deep understanding of the elements of a successful compliance and privacy program, as well as expertise in applicable risk areas.

Jennifer has a robust background in government investigations, False Claims Act litigation, and HIPAA and state privacy law. Jennifer’s diverse industry experience includes the defense of off-label marketing cases for pharmaceutical companies, the defense of False Claims Act cases for healthcare providers and insurance companies, and experience in Anti-Kickback and other healthcare fraud and abuse issues.
