Jesse S. Reyes practices in Brown Rudnick’s Energy, Utilities & Environmental group.

Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Jesse served as Chief of the Energy and Telecommunications Division in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office where he was the primary advisor to the Attorney General on energy policy and carrying out the Attorney General’s statutory function of ratepayer advocate before state and federal regulators and the federal appellate courts. His energy experience includes matters such as distribution utility rate cases and other rate proceedings, power purchase agreements for renewable energy and renewable energy certificates, mergers and acquisitions, siting, interconnection agreements, FERC gas and electric transmission rates, wholesale market rule development, reliability standards, and regulatory compliance. Previously, as an Assistant Attorney General, Jesse was responsible for representing the Attorney General at NEPOOL on wholesale market and transmission planning issues. Prior to joining the Attorney General's Office in 2007, Jesse was a Hearing Officer at the Massachusetts Department of Telecommunications and Energy (predecessor to the DPU).
