Jessica focuses on commercial litigation, business and contractual disputes, and employment litigation. She has litigation experience in the federal and state courts of both Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Her recent focus has been on consumer finance litigation, including representing several financial institutions in mortgage-related cases brought under state and federal law. She has also represented clients in contractual disputes regarding commercial supply contracts and commercial and residential leases, as well as class action litigation concerning mortgage origination.

In addition to her business litigation experience, Jessica has defended employers against claims arising under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and other federal and state statutes. She also counsels management regarding employment policies and compliance with employment-related laws.

Jessica has devoted some of her professional development efforts to developing presentations designed to update clients and prospective clients on recent developments in retail class actions and shareholder derivative litigation.

Jessica served as law clerk to the Honorable Beth P. Gesner of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland from 2007 to 2008. While attending law school, Jessica was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and the Administrative Law Review. As an undergraduate at Wake Forest University, she was a member of Golden Key Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta, Psi Chi and Order of the Omega.
