Joanna Crosby represents insurance companies in insurance-related litigations, arbitrations and appeals. She also advises admitted and surplus lines insurers with regard to emergent and long-term strategy concerns in the insurance industry. Joanna is highly experienced in handling litigation involving various types of coverage, including general liability, OCIP or wrap-up policies, professional liability, construction defect, specialty lines of coverage (including medical professional liability, employment practices liability, and municipalities, public officials and law enforcement policies), program books of business for specific industries and excess coverage.

Joanna has successfully represented clients in federal and state courts and arbitration tribunals, including parties in construction, product liability, professional liability and employment matters. She frequently is involved in evaluation and analysis of insurance coverages available, procured and tendered for these clients. In addition, Joanna has successfully negotiated dismissal of frivolous cases brought against the firm’s clients, including insurer clients, resulting in considerable savings to them. Joanna counsels clients on cost shares and allocations and is committed to thinking outside the box to achieve favorable resolutions. She also has experience in defending employers against employment claims relating to sexual harassment, whistleblowers and wage-and-hour issues.
