Joanna Mai Liebes

Joanna Liebes is an associate in the Intellectual Property Group in Morrison & Foerster’s Palo Alto office. Her practice focuses on patent preparation and prosecution, portfolio strategy, IP due diligence and litigation support for medical device companies.

Ms. Liebes received her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she served as president of the Hastings Intellectual Property Association, participated in the mediation clinic and was a member of the Thurston Honor Society.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Liebes worked as an engineer at a refinery of a multinational oil and gas corporation. She received her B.S. in mechanical engineering from UCLA.
