Joanne R. Bush

Joanne Bush represents employers in all aspects of employment and traditional labor matters before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. She represents clients in individual, class, and collective matters arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and other federal and state employment laws. She has significant experience defending clients in complex wage and hour class and collective actions arising under federal and state laws. Joanne also defends clients in whistleblower actions, and she has served as lead trial counsel in Federal Railroad Safety Act matters.

Joanne's traditional labor practice includes defending employers in unfair labor practice, union election, and decertification proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and representing employers in labor arbitrations. She also advises clients in a variety of labor matters, including collective bargaining negotiations, union organizing campaigns, strikes, interpreting collective bargaining agreements, and obligations under the National Labor Relations Act.

Additionally, Joanne counsels employers on a variety of labor and employment compliance issues, including employee handbooks, personnel policies, wage and hour issues, personnel actions, noncompetition agreements, severance agreements, internal investigations of employee complaints, and corporate transactions.
