Joel Bailey is a business litigation attorney and partner at Hedrick Kring, PLLC. Mr. Bailey’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation with the focus of achieving his clients' goals effectively and efficiently. He has significant experience defending clients sued in qui tam lawsuits brought under the False Claims Act and in products liability matters. He has also represented numerous clients in state and federal courts alleging claims for breach of contract, fraud, and negligent misrepresentation. Mr. Bailey has experience representing lenders, debtors, and committees in contested matters and adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court, and has represented broker-dealers in securities-related FINRA arbitrations involving claims of suitability, fraud, and 10b-5 claims.

Prior to joining Hedrick Kring, PLLC, Mr. Bailey was Counsel in the business litigation section of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. Mr. Bailey is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.
Mr. Bailey received his J.D. summa cum laude in 2009 from Baylor University, where he served as a senior executive editor for the Baylor Law Review. While in law school, he was a member of Baylor’s moot court and mock trial teams, winning a variety of competitions including the 2008 National Trial Advocacy Competition and the 2009 National Trial Competition. He received his B.A. summa cum laude from Texas A&M University in 2006.
