John Snyder’s practice encompasses comprehensive antitrust services, including counseling, agency representation and litigation. He focuses on representing clients before government competition authorities, including clients facing merger and conduct investigations, as well as other impacted parties. With a strong litigation background in both government and private practice, John advocates effectively for clients in court and administrative proceedings.

Prior to joining the firm, John served as counsel to the assistant attorney general of the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. In that capacity, he was an integral part of the front office team supervising antitrust enforcement in telecommunications, networks and technology, media, payment systems and health care markets, among others. John also served as a trial attorney in the Antitrust Division for more than a decade, holding leadership roles on many of the division’s most significant investigations and litigations during that period.

Before entering government service, John represented clients in antitrust and commercial litigation in federal and state courts. He also served as director of business affairs for a San Francisco-based technology startup company.
