Birmingham-based ConcertCare, a consulting firm for the medical industry, has hired Jonathan Kipp to serve as president and chief operating officer.

Kipp will leave his position as partner at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, where he practiced in areas such as business entity formation, capitalization, private securities placements, private equity and venture capital investments. He also served as vice chairman of the firm's emerging growth companies team.

Kipp said his long-held desire to become an entrepreneur spurred him to join ConcertCare.

"I realized that working with entrepreneurs and growing companies within my practice was great, but didn't full scratch the entrepreneurial itch for myself," he said, noting that his past experience working with ConcertCare CEO Tanveer Patel also influenced his decision to join the company.

"I've observed Jonathan advising his clients for several years, and he is very good at what he does. I also discovered that he shares our passion about health and wellness. His background and experience will help us effectively and efficiently deliver disruptive solutions to the healthcare industry's most urgent and complex problems," Patel said.
