Jonathan J. Faust is a general commercial litigator, with trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts in a variety of jurisdictions. His practice also includes mediation and arbitration. He handles large-scale matters such as a $70 billion lawsuit on behalf of a foreign sovereign central bank implicating complicated issues of immunity and international law, mid-size matters including multimillion dollar contract disputes, as well as smaller-scale matters such as mediations of landlord-tenant disputes and claims for high-net-worth individuals.

Jonathan is an accomplished business counselor, able to help businesses navigate the various issues they face. He provides outside general counseling to many companies. Jonathan works in many different industries, including fashion and apparel, construction and demolition, real estate and banking. In addition to handling complex commercial litigation, Jonathan also has experience in intellectual property and licensing work for his fashion industry clients.

Jonathan has served as senior counsel to the Claims Resolution Tribunal in Zurich, Switzerland; as general counsel to Fast Track Nutrition; and as a Special Assistant District Attorney with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.

Jonathan has lectured on the investigation and adjudication of claims against the Swiss financial industry. He also has lectured at Columbia Law School in New York, and at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary.

Jonathan successfully defended the National Bank of Hungary from a class action seeking to recover damages that exceeded 40% of Hungary's Gross Domestic Product. The decision involved proceedings in federal district and appellate courts, and complicated issues of international law.

Jonathan is a volunteer firefighter (Lieutenant) and is a Commissioner of the Greenville Fire District. He is also a member of the Edgemont Union Free School District School Board (ranked as the best public school system in the US in 2014).
