Joshua A. Kaufman is a partner in the Cooley business department and a member of the Capital Markets, Public Companies, Mergers & Acquisitions and Real Estate practice groups. He joined the firm in June 2015 and is resident in the New York office.
Mr. Kaufman represents U.S. and foreign private issuers, investment banks and institutional investors in a wide variety of securities transactions, including public offerings and private placements of common and preferred stock, investment grade and high-yield debt, convertible securities, tender/exchange offers and consent solicitations. He has advised clients on more than 130 financing transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $100 billion. Mr. Kaufman also counsels clients with respect to corporate, commercial and securities law matters; mergers and acquisitions; filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission; and interactions with security holders, intermediaries, stock exchanges and other regulatory bodies.
